Some of B.C.’s leading yachting businesses bring coastal yachting to the prairies on June 7th. The Calgary Yachting Forum, being held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Calgary on June 7th, 2007, offers seminars and information dedicated to help Calgary boaters and would-be boaters discover the yachting lifestyle.

“Its no secret that more and more Albertan’s are looking west for their leisure & boating pursuits, so it makes perfect sense to come to Calgary” says Nuno Miguel Alves of One 4 Yacht Fractions, Canada’s leading fractional yacht ownership company. David Worland, of Yacht Sales West, estimates that approximately 1/3rd of his clients come from the Alberta market and this was the prime reason for their participation. “It’s a great opportunity for us to educate the marketplace and meet people personally, said Worland. If yacht ownership is not in your plans, instruction and charter options will also be offered. Colin Jackson, President of Cooper Boating, will share the ins and outs of chartering both sail and motor yachts throughout the B.C. Coast.

The event will be held on June 7, 2007 at the Westin Hotel: 320 Fourth Ave., S.W. Calgary, AB between 10am-7pm. Participating companies include One 4 Yacht Fractions, Yacht Sales West, Cooper Boating & Bosun’s. Information from premium sail and power brands such as Westcoast Custom Yachts, Grand Banks, Bavaria, Dufour, C&C, Tartan, & Jeanneau will be available.

Admission is free but registration is required via <skype:span context="604-669-2248" durex="863" onmouseout="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,0,'0',true,16,'');" onclick="javascript:doRunCMD('call','0',null,0);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" title="Call this phone number in Canada with Skype: +16046692248" onmouseover="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,1,'0',true,16,'');" id="softomate_highlight_0" onmousedown="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,2,'0',true,16,'');return skype_tb_stopEvents();" oncontextmenu="javascript:skype_tb_SwitchDrop(this,'0','sms=0');return skype_tb_stopEvents();" class="skype_tb_injection" onmouseup="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,1,'0',true,16,'');return skype_tb_stopEvents();"><skype:span onmouseout="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'0',0,1,16);" onclick="javascript:doHandleChdial(this,1,'0',1);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" title="Change country code ..." onmouseover="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'0',1,1,16);" id="skype_tb_droppart_0" onmousedown="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'0',2,1,16);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" onmouseup="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'0',1,1,16);return skype_tb_stopEvents();"><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_f0"></skype:span></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_s0"></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_text0"><skype:span id="skype_tb_innerText0">604-669-2248</skype:span></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_r0" class="skype_tb_imgR"></skype:span></skype:span>. Further information available at <skype:span context="604-669-2248" durex="863" onmouseout="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,0,'1',true,16,'');" onclick="javascript:doRunCMD('call','1',null,0);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" title="Call this phone number in Canada with Skype: +16046692248" onmouseover="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,1,'1',true,16,'');" id="softomate_highlight_1" onmousedown="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,2,'1',true,16,'');return skype_tb_stopEvents();" oncontextmenu="javascript:skype_tb_SwitchDrop(this,'1','sms=0');return skype_tb_stopEvents();" class="skype_tb_injection" onmouseup="javascript:skype_tb_imgOnOff(this,1,'1',true,16,'');return skype_tb_stopEvents();"><skype:span onmouseout="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'1',0,1,16);" onclick="javascript:doHandleChdial(this,1,'1',1);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" title="Change country code ..." onmouseover="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'1',1,1,16);" id="skype_tb_droppart_1" onmousedown="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'1',2,1,16);return skype_tb_stopEvents();" onmouseup="javascript:doSkypeFlag(this,'1',1,1,16);return skype_tb_stopEvents();"><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_f1"></skype:span></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_s1"></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_text1"><skype:span id="skype_tb_innerText1">604-669-2248</skype:span></skype:span><skype:span id="skype_tb_img_r1" class="skype_tb_imgR"></skype:span></skype:span>.

– Traditional Luxury Yacht now available through fractional ownership model –

Vancouver, BC, July 8, 2006 — For 50 years Grand Banks has set the standard for grace and luxury in yachting. The company has maintained an unwavering commitment to ideals such as quality, craftsmanship, and reliability. This commitment has seen the company grow over the past half-century to become one of the world’s most successful lines of pleasure boats.

From the original ‘Spray’ – forerunner to the GB36, the company has launched many popular models, classified according to their ‘series’ – Heritage, Eastbay, and Aleutian. Though each yacht is built in Asia, its owners – thousands of the most loyal boat owners in the world – are found in all corners of the globe.

To help celebrate 50 years of success, sixteen Grand Banks yachts, and their proud owners, recently completed a three-week journey together from BC’s Gulf Islands to Wrangell, Alaska. The journey, know as the ‘Grand Tour’ is just one of many events scheduled to commemorate the company’s milestone achievement. For additional info on the tour, visit http://www.grandbanks.com/newsEvents/grandtour/index.cfm.

One 4 Yacht Fractions is proud to help celebrate Grand Bank’s 50 years of tradition by introducing this extremely well-regarded line through its managed fractional ownership program. Through this partnership, One 4 Yacht Fractions’ owners can live 100% of the Grand Banks experience for as little as 25% of the cost.

Jim Connolly of Grand Yachts, Vancouver-based dealer for the Grand Banks line, explains: “the valuable yacht management services, as well as the ability to provide a legal structure for multiple owners, were a key part of our decision to work with One 4 Yacht Fractions. We are excited to take part in blending the tradition of Grand Banks with this innovative fractional ownership concept.

Granville Island – based One 4 Yacht Fractions offers premium power and sailing yachts at a fraction of the cost for consumers. This is integrated with a “hands on” management program that provides owners with a high level of customer service and expertise in maintaining the vessel to exceptional standards. Such a program fills a key need in recreational boat ownership today considering that many people would like to enjoy the privileges of boat ownership without the burden of carrying the total cost.

50 Years of Tradition:

1956: Company founded as American Marine Ltd. in Hong Kong.
1962: Kenneth Smith commissioned to design Spray, forerunner to the GB36.
1964: Launch of GB36-001 (June). Company would eventually build 1,141 GB36s before retiring the model in 2003.
1965: Launch of GB42-001 (August). More than 1,550 GB42s have been built to this day.
1969: GB32-138 is first Grand Banks built new factory in Jurong, Singapore.
1973: GB36-366 marks the first time a Grand Banks yacht is built using fiberglass construction.

1974: Hong Kong yard closed as Grand Banks ends production of wood-hull yachts.
1975: Company acquired by new management team, headed by Chairman and CEO Robert W. Livingston.
1984: Launch of GB 46-001, which remains in production today with over 280 boats sold.
1987: GB42-1000 launched on April 27. Today the GB42 remains one of the most successful production cruising yachts ever built.
1993: Grand Banks launches the 38 Eastbay EX, first of the C.R. Hunt-designed Eastbay Series. Since that time Grand Banks has added new Eastbay models in 40, 43, 47, 49, 54, and 58-foot lengths.
1995: Grand Banks opens new boatyard in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, with over 100,000 square feet of space on the factory floor.
1999: Grand Banks moves Singapore plant from Jurong to Loyang Crescent.
2001: The raised-pilothouse Aleutian Series makes its debut with the 64RP. Over the next four years the Series is expanded to include the 70CP and 59RP models.

- FRACTIONAL OWNERSHIP BACKGROUNDER–Vancouver, B.C. June 28, 2006–

The concept of shared asset ownership has grown in popularity across North America over the past decade with very good reason. It is hard to argue with the logic: all the benefits of ownership at a fraction of the cost.

Originally implemented in the aviation industry, the concept allowed individuals and corporations to share in capital costs, maintenance, and usage of the aircraft.

In recent years, fractional ownership has been applied to real estate on resorts with considerable success. Nowhere is this more evident than in Whistler, BC. With rising costs in ownership due primarily to increasing numbers of an aging baby boomer generation demanding more recreational property, many discriminating buyers and investors have opted to take advantage of the growing trend in fractional property ownership.

It has allowed owners to benefit from all the lifestyle aspects of resort property by more closely matching their usage requirements with their investments, thus allowing them to free up valuable capital for other purposes. Not to be overlooked is the peace of mind that comes with the professional management typically associated with this form of ownership.

The concept of shared ownership is now being successfully applied to the yachting industry by firms such as One 4 Yacht Fractions in Vancouver, BC. It is a logical application of the concept given the statistics in the industry. Average yacht owners typically use their vessel approximately 30 days each year. The rest of the time the owner is paying for moorage, insurance, and maintenance on a depreciating asset. In this context, it’s easy to comprehend the boater’s old adage that “the two happiest days in a boat owner’s life are the day he buys his boat and the day he sells it”.

One 4 Yacht Fractions offers premium power and sailing yachts at a fraction of the cost. This offering integrated with a “hands on” management program to provide a high level of service and maintain the vessel to exceptional standards. The program includes a scheduling service allowing owners to “pre-book” their 4 “prime” boating weeks each year and to reserve other times throughout the year as their schedules allow. Yachts are currently available in Granville Island and Coal Harbour, Vancouver as well as in Tsehum Harbour, Sidney.

- FRACTIONAL YACHT OWNERSHIP ARRIVES IN LOWER MAINLAND – Vancouver, B.C. Spring 2005 -

A new company on Granville Island is bringing the ever-popular fractional resort ownership concept to luxury yachts.

One 4 Yacht Fractions offers premium power and sailing yachts at a fraction of the cost for consumers. This is integrated with a “hands on” management program that provides investors with a high level of customer service and expertise in maintaining the vessel to exceptional standards.

Such a program fills a key need in recreational boat ownership today, says General Manager Nuno Miguel Alves, adding that many owners would like to enjoy the privileges of boat ownership without the burden of carrying the total cost.

Recent articles in Canadian Yachting Magazine (February, 2005) and Robb Report (January, 2005) speak to the popularity of this revolutionary concept. Owning one quarter of the yacht entitles owners up to 12 full weeks of usage per year. Many privately owned yachts see little more than 30 days usage per year, according to a national statistic.

One 4’s Strength in Numbers program allows various sales affiliates to work together and get complete fractionally owned yachts on the water faster than any one company could do alone. “With a portfolio of successfully developed and managed fractional ownership resorts across Western Canada, we bring many years of experience and successes to One 4 Yacht Fractions,” says President Andy Harris. “Our operational crew collectively has decades of direct experience in the yachting trade.”

One 4 Yacht Fractions, a fractional yacht ownership company has recently opened a new office on Granville Island – Vancouver, B.C. November 26, 2004

“We feel that our fractional yacht ownership program will fill a key need in recreational boat ownership for today’s users” says Nuno Miguel Alves, General Manager. We will be offering premium power and sailing yachts at a fraction of the cost, integrated with a “hands on” management program to provide a high level of service and maintain the vessel to exceptional standards. “With a portfolio of successfully developed and managed fractional ownership resorts across Western Canada, we bring our experience and success to One 4 Yacht Fractions.

We have dealt with almost anything and everything when managing this many properties and people”, says President Andy Harris. “In addition, our operational crew collectively have decades of direct experience in the yachting trade.”

One 4 managed yachts will be based on Granville Island in Vancouver and in Tsehum, Harbour, Sidney BC in the preliminary offerings.

One of the company’s key objectives this year is to educate the public on the numerous advantages of fractional ownership.

Owning one quarter of the yacht entitles you to up to 12 weeks usage per year. Many privately owned yachts see little more than 30 days usage per year, according to a national statistic.

One 4’s Strength in Numbers program allows various sales affiliates to work together and get complete fractionally owned yachts on the water faster than any one company could do alone.

Available for usage in the summer of 2005, the company has selected two fine motor yachts, a larger Westcoast 46 equipped with twin diesels and bow thruster for the adventuring couple or family looking for efficiency in luxurious space, and a Carver 38 for those seeking a more modern design in the under 40 size. Two fantastic new sailboat designs are also available: from legendary C&C: the new 115, and a spacious family cruiser, the Bavaria 46.
